"~tai (๏ฝใใ)" is used to express your own
desire ("Want to do...").
It is used like "I want to eat sushi" or "I want to go to Japan".
The polite form is "~tai desu".
"~tai" is basically used for yourself (first person).
When talking about someone else's desire (third person), use "~tagatteimasu".
โ Kare wa ikitai desu. โ ใ Kare wa ikitagatteimasu.
Also, be careful when asking "Do you want to...?" to a superior, as it can sound rude.
Simply remove "masu" from the verb and add "tai".
